Valve enjoys a good reputation. I thought HL3 was never coming out because they were working so hard on it and didn't have time to do other shit. But apparently they all play WoW and lick testes. Seriously, Of all developers to remake DotA and of all games for Valve to make. imasomad
Have you actually played DotA Ollie? Its actually a pretty good game. There is no other game of its kind (excluding its remakes); a team-oriented 3rd person tactical... I don't know what the final descriptor should be. I think its unfair to just dismiss it outright because of a general unfounded dislike of WC3.
That said, apparently its going to be DotA in a new engine. I will reserve judgement until more information is out but I think it needs more than that, and IceFrog and Valve must know this.
I suspect DotA. "3 big announcements" next year though, proper ones hopefully. Moar lyk HL3 big announcement.
